Emma Makkink

In June 2022 I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Communication and Information Sciences from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Although my major was journalism, my passion for communication is just as great. In my study, both aspects got the same amount of attention. I have been able to gain a lot of experience in the field of effective, persuasive communication and writing texts and articles.

Since September 2021, I have been working at Human Insight: first as communications intern and later as communications officer. During this time, I learned a lot about working in an organisation and about putting my knowledge into practice. Now, I really enjoy working here as a Copywriter & Communication Specialist for three days a week.

In my spare time, music is my passion. I also like travelling, books and photography and spend a lot of time with friends and family.
